Uncle Lucius w/ The Dirty 30s

The formation of Uncle Lucius is a Texas tale in the truest sense. Four unique musicians of the Lone Star State , each living in their own hamlets, brewing up a dire need to put together a soulful southern rock outfit, sometimes can’t help but find each other.

The Lowdown Brass Band
The Lowdown Brass Band, hailing from Chicago, IL, is a nine-piece, horn-driven ensemble with strong roots in the New Orleans 2nd Line Tradition. A fierce sousaphone sets the foundation for trumpets, trombones and saxophones to intertwine in a cacophony of tight lead lines, spontaneous call-and-response and bombastic brass attacks. While taking a page from the jazz and blues giants of the past, the LDB melds modern funk, hip-hop, reggae and pop into a unique new style. Lowdown forges new ground with original compositions that challenge the listener and player alike, breaking down the barrier between performer and audience.

Hailing from St. Louis, Missouri, Hazard To Ya Booty fuses elements of funk, rock, hip-hop and soul to make a head-bobbing sound that’s guaranteed to get the crowd moving and sweating. If Hazard could inject any more energy into their live shows it would create an audio supernova and the room would be in danger of being sucked into a funky black hole. Starting out in MO at Truman State University in 2000 and making a huge splash on the local college scene, Hazard has gone through various line up changes since but all the while stayed true to its core principal: Gettin’ that booty moovin’.
The Hipnecks w/ The Cropdusters
When listening to the band’s music, one has an arduous time comparing its sound to other artists. That is because The HipNecks, a local group, have created a unique musical sound – one that has sparked quite a following.
“…absolutely twangy, good old-fashioned American rock & roll – a sound that makes sense when you consider their name, a combination of “hippy” and “redneck.” Their enthusiasm for their craft was obvious and infectious. Remember the name, because this band is going places,” JAMBASE.COM
