CEDRIC BURNSIDE, grandson of the legendary R.L. Burnside, son of drummer great Calvin Jackson, is widely regarded as one of the best drummers in the world. Growing up at his grandfather’s side, he began touring at age 13, playing drums for “Big Daddy” on stages around the globe. Cedric was born in 1978 and raised around Holly Springs, Miss., and has been playing music all his life, developing a relentless, highly rhythmic charged style with strong hip-hop and funk influences.

The St. Louis-based artist has a background that includes extensive training in both classical trumpet and flugelhorn. But Dawn’s talent and personality really shine in other styles of her music– ranging from jazz, rock, R&B swing and salsa to hip-hop, electronic and funk styles. Dawn starred in the groups Vargas Swing, Urban Jazz Naturals and Mo and Dawn (The Remix Project) and is now leading her own bands.

The Twin Cats
The Twin Cats are a 5-Piece Jazz-Funk band, based out of Indianapolis, Indiana. The Twin Cats were founded by identical twins Adam and Seth Catron, (drums and guitar/vocals, respectively). Cameron Reel (bass guitar) and Phil Geyer (keys) were added to the group shortly after the twins began playing together. The Twin Cats’ sound was completed by the addition of Indy jazz artist, Nick Gerlach (sax/flute).
From intimate venues to outdoor festivals, this group loves to entertain: Playing festivals such as 10KLF, Summer Camp, and F.U.N.K. Festival have given the band the pleasure of sharing the bill with some of the top touring acts in the country. The Twin Cats have also had the opportunity to open for artists such as The Greyboy Allstars, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Rusted Root, and Here Come the Mummies.
Though easily recognized by the identical twins, ultimately, The Twin Cats are best recognized for their innovative funk grooves, fused with unforgettable jazz melodies. They never have trouble engaging a crowd.

RoosterFunk is a Funk/Blues/Soul band made up of three members on a mission to create a fresh & raw sound that will keep the dance floor movin. With sounds and influences ranging from Dumsptaphunk and Robert Randolph to Jimi Hendrix; RoosterFunk is able to create a sound that is both unique and accessible to fans of various musical styles. ULTRAVIOLET HIPPOPOTAMUS is an explosive six-piece jam rock band from Grand Rapids, MI with a rapidly growing fan base all over the MidWest and Colorado, as well as online with thousands of listeners nationwide. Recently described by Recoil Magazine as “one of Michigan’s most promising bands,” UV HIPPO mixes tight funky jams with new dance beats and strange effects for a killer musical experience. The band performs an eclectic array of composed and improvised original material, dancing between genres of funk, jazz, electronica, reggae, bluegrass, and progressive rock. The word is out, and the band is seeing more and more repeat offenders traveling further distances to develop their MidWest following into a national sensation.
